Why choosing advisory ?

Entrepreneurs have incredible curiosity and an inexhaustible capacity to learn. They’re used to scheduling regular coffees with other founders to talk through their challenges and priorities. They’re very comfortable with this exercise, but three essential elements are usually missing:

  • Operational expertise: Being a founder isn’t enough to design the right strategy or build the right organization. Yet entrepreneurs tend to turn to people with profiles similar to their own.

  • Follow-up: These meetings are often just that—one-off meetings. There’s no structured follow-up or cadence. The founder accumulates knowledge, but isn’t truly challenged on how they interpret it or how they execute on it. It’s useful for gathering information, but not necessarily for testing and refining ideas.

  • Adaptation to context: The exchange can easily become one-directional, and the information gathered is stripped of the contextual nuances the entrepreneur perceives—or doesn’t perceive. In one hour, it’s impossible to fully understand the other person’s situation and offer a truly tailored recommendation.

At the same time, as an organization becomes more structured, founders move further away from day-to-day operations and from their teams. Despite their best efforts, fundraising, public speaking, and investor relations take up a significant share of their time.

As a result, they spend more and more time with roles that are removed from operational reality, talking strategy rather than execution. They inevitably lose the direct connection with their teams that’s critical for steering the business (especially since “business intelligence” alone is not enough).

They therefore need long-term support from people who bring deep market or functional expertise—in short, operational expertise above all.
