Advisory for Seed to Series A startups

You just raised. Now build the revenue engine that gets you to the next round.

Ongoing advisory from a former CMO, CRO and COO. We structure go-to-market, organization and RevOps together, month after month, with someone who has built it before.

In short: Ramp Up Consulting is Joël Gaudeul's advisory practice. I support founders and leadership teams of startups, from Seed to Series A, on three topics: go-to-market and revenue, organization and management, tools and RevOps. The format: two sessions of two hours each month and follow-up in between, in English or French.

After the raise

The money is in. Three things start to break.

Every funding round or pivot forces you to change how you operate. The founders I work with usually hit the same walls.

01

Revenue still depends on you

Pipeline, pricing and commercial rules live in the founder's head. Marketing, sales and customer success are not aligned on one plan.

02

The organization has no structure yet

Who do you hire first? How do you set up the leadership team, support new managers and build a culture that scales?

03

Tools and data are patchwork

A CRM nobody trusts, reports that disagree, processes that exist only in people's heads. AI makes that gap more expensive, not smaller.

The advisory retainer

A sparring partner who stays for the long run

Two sessions of two hours each month. In each one we set the agenda, debrief on projects and plan the next steps. It is not just advice: I take the time to understand your context, share recommendations and follow how they are implemented.

  • Strategy and growth: roadmap, pricing, commercial rules, international expansion
  • Structuring and management: leadership team, first hires, managers, culture
  • Tools and processes: HubSpot and CRM, reporting, RevOps
  • Follow-up between sessions, so decisions turn into execution
  • An outside view without commercial stakes, from someone who has run these functions

Audit and roadmapGet ready for scaling

After each funding round or pivot, your organization, tools and processes need to change. I run an audit and build a roadmap for the months ahead. You can then move forward on your own, or continue with advisory.

AI and RevOps

AI is hungry for context. Yours is probably undocumented.

FAQ

Advisory in four questions

What is startup advisory?

Ongoing support from an experienced executive who advises founders without taking a role in the company. At Ramp Up Consulting, it means two sessions of two hours each month on go-to-market, organization and tools, with follow-up in between.

When should I bring in an advisor?

Most often right after a Seed or Series A raise. The team grows fast, revenue has to become predictable and founders drift away from operations. An outside view at that point avoids the most expensive structuring mistakes.

How is advisory different from a fractional CMO or CRO?

A fractional executive executes in your place. Advisory helps you decide and grow your teams: you keep ownership, I challenge, I share what I have seen work (and fail) elsewhere, and I follow the implementation.

Do you work in English?

Yes. Sessions can run in French or English.
